Birthday Card for my Father-in-law

My father-in-law is visiting from Samoa and his birthday is coming up in November. He was born Year of the Monkey and since he is Samoan, he loves his bananas, lol! Sorry about the quality of the picture, I think I need a new camera. I have the Sony Cybershot, but it seems to always take either blurry or funky pictures. Any suggestions? Was thinking of the Canon Rebel, but who knows. Anyhoo, here is the card I made. Just a simply little card....

My gf Michele sent me this wonderful Halloween rak yesterday! I was so excited! Look at how the card pops-up! So cool! Thanks Michele! You are so sweet!

Hope everyone has a safe and fun Halloween! I just love Halloween! Next think you know it will be Christmas, yikes! Thank you to everyone for always leaving such wonderful comments! Big hugs!

Thank you so much Kris for thinking of us, you are too sweet! We made the foam cat like minutes after we opened the box. It is so cute!

Sorry if I have been a bit M.I.A....I started substitute teaching at my daughter's school and also teaching more daytime kickboxing classes, which leaves me less time to craft :0(. Hope everyone is doing well! Have a great rest of the week!

Pop-up Wedding Cake Box

My gf and upline, Jacque, made this adorable Halloween box that had a pop-up cake inside. I wanted to make one for my friend's wedding later this month, so I asked her if I could borrow her die. The colors are orange and yellow, so here is what I came up with.

Close up of the wedding cake:

I put a little envelope at the bottom for money. I will probably add a personalized tag to the outside of the box. Enjoy and aloha!

Halloween Treat Sacks for soccer

The wonderful and talented Shelby in my SU group made this Build-a-Bear Halloween Treat sack that I cased for my daughter's soccer team. It was a really simple project. The CS on the front and back measured 4¼"x7" and the little paper bags were bought from Sam's Club (thanks Shelby for my stash).

Here is the original:

My interpretation:

Didn't want to make the front too fancy, cause you know 5 year olds....they'll just rip it open or worse yet, just throw it away (gasp!!!).

Hope you are having a wonderful Tuesday!
